Pellicano Baby Zoya Philia

I was allowed to try a sling from Pellicano Baby for a short time. The slings have interested me for some time, because I like the color gradients very much, which have many cloths of the manufacturer. Therefore, I was very happy about this opportunity, many thanks at this point to the owner.

Information about the cloth and the manufacturer

The Polish manufacturer Pellicano Baby has been around for several years and so in this time also some cloths have already been released. There are different motifs, which are also available in different color combinations or materials.

Price-wise, this cloth was new at about 170€. It is a limited edition, which is no longer available. This was created as a group scarf. Other color combinations in the Zoya series will continue to be released.

The cloth Zoya Philia shows a color gradient with soft transitions. With light yarn the pattern of leopard spots was woven into the color gradient. This makes the pattern subtle and not obtrusive.

The material linen makes the cloth initially somewhat firmer and more stable. This is to support it on the one hand with larger children more, on the other hand, linen is more temperature-equalizing than, for example, pure cotton. Due to the relatively high weight per unit area of about 270g/m², the cloth is probably relatively stiff when new.

When wearing

I tested the sling with my son in the wrap cross carrier and the single backpack (with finish). In doing so, the sling was comfortable on his shoulders. Because of its size, I would prefer multi-layer back tying methods. Tying and tightening was comfortable due to the material as well as the weave, the sling did not slip.

With the demo dolls from my consultations, tying also went very well, although tightening was more difficult with the light weight. Also, a relatively large amount of fabric piled up in the back of the knees, due to the thickness of the cloth.

Washing

Since I only had the sling here for a very short time, I didn't wash it. Personally, I would always hand wash cloths with linen. Here, however, the washing instructions should help in case of doubt, whether the cloth is also suitable for machine washing.

Conclusion

I find the cloth is high quality, so I could not see any weaving defects. The price-performance ratio is therefore appropriate in my opinion. Due to the thickness, the cloth is better suited for larger children or for newborns for parents who already have experience with binding. Who likes the pattern and colors, so could find a new favorite here.
