Easy Feel Ergonomic Soft Structured Carrier

I was again allowed to test a full-buckle baby carrier, but this time from the Indian manufacturer Easy Feel. This toddler carrier is huge, so really only suitable for larger children. I tested it with my 4-year-old son.

Information about the carrier and the manufacturer

Easy Feel is a family business from India, which was founded by Shikha. On the website I can read that breastfeeding, family bedding, cloth diapers and babywearing are important to them. Easy Feel is one of the first Indian cloth diaper brands to be sold online (as well). The owner is particularly concerned about quality and environmental friendliness in her products.

As I wrote above, it is again a carrier completely for buckling (full-buckle carrier). Price-wise, this size is around 143€, Standard is a bit cheaper and Preschool is a bit more expensive. The carrier is therefore in the middle price range.

The Soft Structured Carrier is available in three sizes: standard (7 to 20kg), toddler (11 to 22kg) and preschool (16 to 26kg). I have taken the kilo specifications from the manufacturer. However, I find these to be not very meaningful in terms of usability. I have tested the Toddlersize and my son fits with just under 14kg exactly in these specifications.

The waist belt is very wide and quite well padded. It is slightly wider at the front than at the sides. On the side is a small pocket integrated, which can be used for keys or the like. The waist belt is closed on the side on the padding. The width of the bar cannot be adjusted, which is not absolutely necessary in the recommended or appropriate age range. Here, care should only be taken that the child does not sit overspread in it.

At the level of the back of the knees, the fabric is relatively thickly padded. The carrier also has a headrest, which can be hidden in a pocket at the top of the back when it is not needed. The head support is gatherable and can be tied to the straps with ribbons.

The straps look very sturdy and are thickly padded. The length can be adjusted with the help of padded buckles and in the lower part. They are firmly sewn in the middle of the back part. The connecting buckle can be moved in height.

When wearing

I tested the carrier with my 4 year old son. Both bar width and back size were still loosely fitting for him. When I put him low in the carrier, he could also take his arms out. My son said he found the carrier nice and "snug".

For me, the carrier was very comfortable on my shoulders. The thick padding of the straps made me barely feel my son's weight. However, this made the fabric bother me a bit under the armpits. The waist belt also supported well and I had good weight distribution on the waist belt and straps.

Washing

Personally, I would prefer hand washing for the carrier. If the carrier is going to be washed in the washing machine, I would recommend closing the belly strap buckle and using a laundry net.

Conclusion

The Ergonomic Soft Structured Carrier from Easy Feel is a carrier that works well for large children who are still being carried. The thick padding distributes the weight well.
