Pure Baby Love Ring-Sling

After I already introduced you to a sling from Pure Baby Love, here is my review of the Ring Sling.

Information about the sling and the manufacturer

The Dutch manufacturer Pure Baby Love sells slings, ring slings and baby jumpsuits on its website. He writes that everything is made with passion. The points of ergonomics, safety and quality are very important to them.

The ring sling costs 69€, with many different colors available. Thus, it belongs rather to the low-priced category. Since the manufacturer offers free shipping within Europe from 68€, shipping costs are not even added here.

The colors are kept rather simple, they are slings in pastel shades. I was allowed to test the ring s ling in purple, whereby it is here, just like the previously tested sling, a very subtle shade.

Pure Baby Love also writes on their website that these are the "softest slings". The sling, just like the baby sling, is really snuggly soft. I would not have guessed this from pure cotton. Slings with a wool content, for example, are usually softer, but here it is probably the cotton in combination with the weave.

When wearing

I tested the ring sling with my 3 year old son as well as with the demo dolls from the babywearing consultations. I tried different variations like wearing it in front of the belly, on the hip and on the back. The very soft fabric makes it easy to tighten and sort on the rings.

When wearing for longer periods with my son, I had to tighten a little in the meantime, but this is not a problem with the ring sling. In addition, I would prefer a cloth with more grammage when wearing for longer periods (with my 3-year-old son), as this, with the already one-sided load, could support better. However, I generally only use the sling for short distances with him, so this is not as noticeable.

With the demo mannequins, tying succeeded without any problems. The sling fit well, and the fabric hardly bunched up in the back of the knees. So it's good for both newborns and bigger kids for short distances.

Washing

I did not wash the sling, as I only had it for this test. Pure cotton is very easy to care for, though, so washing it shouldn't be much of a chore.

Conclusion

The ring sling from Pure Baby Love has, just like the sling, a good price-performance ratio. As I wrote above, it's great for newborns, as well as toddlers for short distances. I also like the manufacturer's plain colors, though many parents from my babywearing consultations also prefer plainer slings or ring slings.
