Rosamar The End Of A Rainbow

After I was already allowed to test a ring sling from Rosamar, I now had the opportunity to try a sling of the Polish manufacturer thanks to Aga Sleiman from Chustomama w Niemczech. I would like to tell you about my experiences with this sling here.

Information about the manufacturer and the cloth

As I wrote in the last review, it is very difficult to find information about the manufacturer in English or German. Rosamar is a Polish manufacturer, which was founded by Dominika Kafeman.

Unfortunately, I could not find out what the sling cost new. However, hand-woven slings are usually quite a bit more expensive than machine-woven slings. The sling represents a color gradient with smooth transitions. It starts with red, goes through orange, yellow, green and light blue to dark blue or violet. At the center, the sling is mainly yellow.

The sides of the sling are not sewn around, which is typical for hand-woven sling. At the ends it is also not sewn, but ends in twisted fringes.

When worn

I tested the sling with the demo dolls from the babywearing consultations, as well as my 3-year-old son. The tightening went very well with both size and weight classes. The sling is pleasant to grip and did not slip in the hand. It was also relatively easy to tighten.

The weight of my son was distributed pleasantly on my shoulders. Especially multi-ply binding methods, such as the Double Hammock, I found very comfortable. The different cloth colors also came into their own wonderfully here.

In the test with the newborn dolls jammed due to the thickness of the cloth a little more fabric in the back of the knees, so I would prefer it only with larger children. However, tying it was no problem at all, even with the light weight, and the cloth snuggled comfortably.

Washing

I did not wash the sling, as it was a test sling in my case. However, I would always wash it by hand only. The risk of thread breakage or similar would be too high for me with this valuable sling.

Conclusion

I liked the sling much better than the ring sling. But that is, as always, a matter of opinion and personal preference. For larger children I find it more suitable than for newborns. Qualitatively, the sling is very high quality. I really like the color gradient, but the fringes at the ends bother me. Like many hand-woven cloths, this is a lover's piece that really has to please to be worth the investment.

Finally, it would be desirable for me that the information about the sling and the manufacturer are also available in English.
