Luluna Slings Geo Fly Miracle

After I was already allowed to test another sling from Luluna Sl ings, here is another test report on the Polish manufacturer Luluna Slings.

Information about the cloth and the manufacturer

A group of friends founded the manufacturer Luluna Slings. By doing so, they wanted to express their creativity, but also their passion for babywearing through their slings. As described on their website, they wanted to create something unique by founding their company.

Price-wise, this sling was around 120€. It was a limited edition, which is no longer available new. But there are other color combinations of the Geo Fly motif, also with different materials. The cloth Geo Fly Miracle shows the wing pattern only very discreetly. At first glance, it looks like a completely blue cloth. Only on closer inspection are minimal color differences, but also the pattern, recognizable. On the lighter side, the motif is more recognizable.

The viscose in the sling makes it very soft, which is why the sling also seems less thick than the basis weight of 270g/m² would initially suggest. It lies very comfortably on the shoulders. It can be tightened well, but slips minimally with heavier children.

When wearing

I tied the sling with my 3-year-old son and the demo dolls from the carrying consultations. With my son, I tested the sling with the wrap-around cross backpack, which was very comfortable for me to wear. The three layers on the back of the child support very well. The tightening succeeds thanks to the weave very well, but with heavier children it is because of the viscose a little more slippery than eg pure cotton. Even the wrap-around cross-carry went with this sling without problems. Due to the weight of my son, however, I prefer multi-layer tying methods on the back.

With the demo dolls I have tried the wrap cross carrier, as well as different back binding methods. It tied better than I would have guessed from the basis weight. This confirms that there are more factors that affect binding, including the material and weave. The fabric only slightly bunched up in the back of the newborn dolls' knees.

Washing

According to the manufacturer, the sling may be washed by hand at 30 degrees. This is due to the material blend with 40% viscose. Since it is in my case a test sling, I have not washed it myself, however.

Conclusion

The sling Geo Fly Miracle from Luluna Slings is very versatile. Due to the viscose, it is very soft and can definitely be used well with newborns, despite the rather high grammage. The price-performance ratio is very good, qualitative defects were not apparent. Those who prefer to see the pattern better, may find other color combinations of this motif.
